New Astrology and Celeb Gossip Online Features

Gentle readers, please excuse the momentary lapse in humility, but I am excited to announce a couple of my new projects aside from CelebAstroBlogy.com that you may be interested in checking out.

WomansDay.com just relaunched with a new design featuring an expanded astrology section (written by yours truly) at womansday.com/
astrology/. Now, in addition to daily horoscopes (womansday.com/astrology/), you can check out your expanded monthly forecast including power days and love days (womansday.com/astromonthly/). There’s also a complete zodiac compatibility chart letting you know how each pair of signs gets along, as a love match and otherwise (http://www.womansday.com/astrochart).

And to continue the tooting of my own horn, my (non-astrological) daily celebrity gossip column Scoop! in the SF and DC Examiner has been redesigned as a blog, so anyone who wasn’t feeling the PDF viewer can now check out all the daily items online at: examiner.com/blogs/scoop

I greatly appreciate all y'all's patience through some recent patches of spotty updating, as I have been juggling new projects. I am so excited and grateful for the new opportunities that have come to me recently but regret that there have sometimes not been enough hours in the day to devote the time and energy to the blog I would wish. Hopefully I've gotten better at time management, and I am definitely committed to bringing you all the latest news on what's in the stars' stars. Again, thanks for bearing with me. Site Update: New Celebrity Search and Categories!

In typical late-adopting Taurus fashion, I just switched over to the new version of Blogger (just in time for the Mercury station Tuesday night...) and I am pleased to announce that you can now find posts about your favorite celebrities tagged and organized by category. That means you won't be seeing any more "related" links at the bottom of stories, but you can just click on the label to read everything on CelebAstroBlogy to date about that celebrity.

In case you were wondering, the most voluminous categories to date are Angelina Jolie (15 posts) and Brad Pitt (12 posts), followed by Britney Spears, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban (each tied at 11 posts).

Also, users posting comments will now have to type in a word to prove that they are real people. Sorry for the extra step, folks, but hopefully this will save me some time having to wade through and delete spam comments when there are so many more fun things to be doing!

Site Update: Your Handy Astrology Reference Guide

Salutations, gentle readers! Many of you have already checked out CelebAstroBlogy's Astrology 101 area, which launched this summer, where you can learn all about sun sign personality traits, zodiac sign archetypes, planets, houses, aspects and more. And I thank you for that.

Now, for new readers, students of astrology, and compulsive people who just enjoy clicking on things, Astrology 101's explanations of astrological terms and building blocks will be linkable from their first mention in a post. (See today's post on Keith Urban for a f'r'instance.) This way, if you're not exactly sure what I'm talking about, you'll have a handy reference guide that will (hopefully) shed some light on the astrological jargon.

Plus, if you ever just feel like browsing through Astrology 101 to find out, say, what the significance of disputed planet Pluto is, or why your boyfriend is such a jerk, you will notice that there is now a big honkin' button on the right sidebar for your convenience, linking to your one-stop shop for astrological nuts and bolts.

Remember, more features will be added to Astrology 101, including a complete guide to compatibility between the 12 Sun signs; a dictionary of astrological terms; and a guide to the glyphs, or symbols, for signs, planets and aspects (you know, those weird squiggles on the wheel). Stay tuned for updates on these features as they launch.

The ribbon has officially been cut on your one-stop online astrology resource! This has been a fairly mammoth task, but at last I am proud to present CelebAstroBlogy's Astrology 101, a complete guide to the basic concepts, terms and building blocks of this enduring, dishy discipline.

Here's what you'll find on CelebAstroBlogy's Astrology 101:
